GAZDANZA was created with the vision of expanding knowledge, creativity, and excellence in dance — empowering young artists to perform and compete and teachers to teach with purpose. Founded by Razel Mitchao and Akira Lydia Abao, the program seeks to equip dancers and dance educators through the pedagogy of classical ballet and modern-contemporary dance. Inspired by their visionary mentor Dwight Rodrigazo, and by two of the finest New York based, Russian ballet artists Bat Udval and Evgenia Singur. GAZDANZA embodies their shared passion, generosity in teaching, and devotion to preserving and elevating the art of dance. Above all, GAZDANZA is dedicated to serving and honoring God — the ultimate source of the gift and talent that moves and inspires all. GAZDANZA is an intensive dance program in the Philippines — the first of its kind — offering a carefully structured platform for aspiring young pre-professional dancers and dance educators. Designed for dancers aged 12 and above.

International Ballet and Modern-Contemporary Dance Intensive

the program provides rigorous training through classes grounded in the Vaganova methodology for classical ballet and the Pulling Technique for modern-contemporary dance. Beyond performance training, GAZDANZA also serves as a five-day professional development forum for dance educators, expanding their pedagogical knowledge and offering practical insights into the core principles of ballet and contemporary movement. Classical ballet training at GAZDANZA is led by the founding directors and ballet masters of Singur Ballet (New York, USA) — renowned Russian artists devoted to preserving the excellence of the Russian ballet tradition. For over 250 years, Russian ballet has been celebrated for its beauty, precision, and technical mastery. Singur Ballet continues this legacy, producing dancers who excel in international competitions and perform on stages around the world. Modern-contemporary training is taught by the creators of the Pulling Technique.
